As you become fitter it’s going to become easier to make active lifestyle choices, making these choices will in turn help your fitness, manage your weight, increase your self esteem and then you have in place a spiral of achievement!

Cardiovascular Workouts
The basis for all fitness training, this can take the form of walking, jogging, kettlebell workouts, running  or cycling - whatever gets your heart pumping.  We’ll get out and about in the Sussex countryside, enjoy the fresh air, the beautiful views and get the feel good factor that doesn’t come with gym membership.  You’ll learn to enjoy the cold, the wet and even the mud!  On days where this simply will not work for you, we’ll do fitness training in your home using a variety of equipment that I’ll bring to you.

Muscular Fitness
The Aspire philosophy focuses mainly on functional and core muscular fitness.  Simply put; making your body fit for the activities you want to do in life.  There will be exercises, there will be weights in various forms but the aim will be to improve posture and tone muscles rather than build up biceps that Arnie would be proud of!

Flexibility
We’ll work on suppleness, increasing flexibility in areas where it’s necessary, balancing the strength work with the focus again on providing good posture.
Aspire is all about getting you active to achieve your goals.  I will work with you to increase your activity levels not only in training sessions but also in your every day life.  I believe that activity needs to become a daily habit and my programmes are designed to get you to into this lifestyle.
Motivation
If you need a bit of motivation to help you stick to your plan then finding an event that you can aim for can really help.  There are lots of running, walking and cycling events of all different lengths, ranging from 5K runs such as Race for Life or “Parkrun” through to marathons and cycling the South Downs Way.  Many of these are charity events and if you get sponsored it’s a sure-fire way to help you through some tough training, and you’ll be helping a good cause.

The Brighton 10K is a great event to aim for it’s on Sunday 20th November and you can enter here

If you think that this could be the event for you then take a look at the following 10K Run Training Programme. It assumes that you are a total beginner  and helps guide you through those first stages from walking to jogging to running a full 10K after 12 weeks of training.
Here is the plan...
